Dinner To Go 5/22/2008 Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R93QJPSF1KYXM Texmati brown rice is my favorite.I mix it with the beans of my choice, one day it might be lima beans, but when I checked my cupboard yesterday afternoon for which beans,I chose black eyed peas to soak over night. The result is deliciously indulging.My rice and bean stuffed pepper and some angel hair pasta with my own sauce. Since I'm going to spend the night at my friends and he doesn't cook, I'm bringing this simple dish in my tupperware container. This rice is the best.While I'm simmering it,the whole kitchen and dining area and even my bathroom picks up a woody,nutty and exotic scent.I really can smell it cooking from anywhere in my apartment. If I saw a pretty girl walking by, I might open the window and she'd probably find herself following the scent straight into my kitchen,then I'd really be in trouble because I only cooked enough for one.But I would be a gentleman and allow the lady to have a seat and let her eat my dinner. Good, but not the best 11/11/2007 Although I prefer Lundberg's organic brown rice -- it has a more distinctive, wonderfully nutty taste -- it's hard to beat the convenience of these 36-oz jars from Amazon. I can cook a whole jar (about 5-5.5 cups) in my rice cooker, with good results. If Amazon ever starts stocking the 32-oz bags from Lundberg's, though, I'd switch. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
Texmati Brown Rice 9/29/2007 I make a meal using one cup of raw rice heated in olive oil, then cooked in water with three cups of frozen mixed vegetables and four Tyson chicken thighs. There is no seasoning added. When I used this rice instead of ordinary white rice, my husband commented on how delicious it was compared to the usual. Texmati brown rice added a delicate perfume to the dish which complemented perfectly the mild flavors of the other ingredients. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
